You may not use an Amberloan personal loan for debt consolidation or business purposes but you may otherwise spend it on whatever you want. Anyone between the ages of 21 and 65 may apply for an Amberloan but if you have outstanding County Court Judgements against you, you will not be accepted.
Amberloan does not offer a repayment holiday on its personal loan and you may not make lump sum repayments. Exactly how much your personal loan from Amberloan will cost you will depend on your credit rating. The interest rate that you will be given will depend on your circumstances and the loan amount you require.
In common with many personal loan providers, Amberloan offers its personal loan in set rate bands and the interest rate quoted for smaller amounts and shorter loans is higher.
Although Amberloan is part of Skipton Building Society you do not need an account with the building society in order to apply for an Amberloan. You will need to set up a direct debit from your current account to repay the personal loan. However, if you do not otherwise have an account with Skipton, be aware that having an unsecured loan does not confer membership rights in a building society.
Skipton is the 7th largest UK building society. It is dedicated to mutuality and is run for the benefit of its members. Skipton Building Society was founded in 1853 and now has 79 branches from Aberdeen to Plymouth. |
