London Mortgage Company (LMC) was launched in February 2001, specialising in secured personal loans sold via intermediaries. This product is now branded `London Personal Loans´ (LPL). LMC later expanded into `first charge´ residential mortgages in the specialist non-conforming sector. Launched in March 2002, under the London Mortgage Company brand, this venture has also experienced considerable success. It provides mortgages to borrowers who fall outside the lending criteria of traditional lenders.

These operations are now widely recognised, having established highly successful trading relationships with brokers and packagers throughout the UK. LPL is a member of the Finance Industry Standards Association (FISA) and the Consumer Credit Trade Association (CCTA). LMC is a member of the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (IMLA) and the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML).
